Studio Civilization offers Calgary and surrounding areas, bespoke faux finishes which are beautiful, polished and professional.  Founded in 1999 by artist Jocelyne Soubliere, her concept was to take  the knowledge and skills she had learned and broaden and refine her faux finishes, decorative painting and murals.

There have been many commercial locations, some having a theme or style to comply with. This is a rewarding challenge which helps to extend experimentation with mixed mediums and is a continuation of a life long education.

Studio Civilization has developed many long standing relashionships with established builders and designers who call when they are looking to punctuate a space or need a custom solution to finish a room.  Clients return to Studio Civilization for options to their own personal choices and a collaboration begins. The Studio has a diverse network of resources and experience to create a selection of samples to choose from. Extensive faux finish training and an art backgroung bring an eye to refinement and balance.

The classic and traditional finishes are always on offer, be it on walls, ceilings, furniture,fireplaces or other architectural features. Studio Civilization stakes it's reputation on originality, dependability and above all satisfaction for the client.

 

Original fine art paintings are available (see art gallery).  These have been purchased by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and are represented in numerous private, public and corporate collections in Canada, the UK, Italy and the US
